Essential policies pack

The Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS 2024) explicitly specify six policies and procedures that are a legal requirement for all out of school clubs registered on the Early Years Register. In addition to these six named policies, a further three policies are implicitly required by EYFS 2024 and one by Ofsted safeguarding guidelines, whilst a Health and Safety policy is separately required by health and safety legislation.

To spare you the time and effort of writing your own policies from scratch, or tracking down individual examples to use as models, we have put together a downloadable pack containing templates for these 11 essential policies.

(If you would like our full set of 38 template policies covering all areas of running an out of school club, see the Start-Up Pack.)

When you buy the Essential Policies Pack you will be able to download the templates straightaway. The template policies are supplied in Microsoft Word format so that you can easily modify them as appropriate for your own club. If you are unsure whether your word processing application can open Word documents, find out more about software compatibility.
