We have an exciting opportunity for you to join St Lawrence C of E Primary School as a Playworker at our school-run after school club, The Hive.

With the primary purpose of providing our families with a reliable, professional and competitively priced provision, we are looking for an individual who can not only fulfil this requirement but who can also establish and maintain a fun, happy, and secure environment for the children.

Working under the supervision of the Play Leader, you will be passionate about working with children and watching them thrive under your care, and be dynamic, driven and committed with a child centered approach.

Job Role:

  • Motivate and inspire children aged between 4 and 11 years of age
  • Ensure the safeguarding and health and safety of children and colleagues at all times
  • Assist with planning and leading programmes and activities to engage the children
  • Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents
  • Prepare appropriate food and drink

In return we can offer you training in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and food hygiene, as well as providing support and input from our experienced and friendly staff.   Subsidised places at The Hive are available for staff whose children attend St Lawrence.

St Lawrence Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.   This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.

Interviews will be held on 12/11/2021.
