We are looking for a play assistant to help with our small and growing after school club. We have new starters from September 2020 and the new school term brings with it a need for a new employee. We are a small and frendly club and all the parents and children often socialise outside of school together. We are looking for an experienced play worker who has a love of children of all ages. We can train you in areas such as paediatric first aid, prevent and safeguarding but we are looking for someone who is kind, caring and patient in return. We have some children with additional needs and a flexible and caring approach to work is needed.
The role includes collection from a local New Barnet primary school at 3.10pm, setting up and clearing away, serving dinner to the children and providing games and activities. You will ensure the safety and welfare is catered for to the highest standard whilst in your care. We walk from school to the venue and parents collect from the hall by 6.15pm. We provide activities, games, craft and cookery and follow a themed calendar of events throughout the year which you will work with.
We are a safe and inclusive environment. We do not tolerate any incidents of racism, sexism, homophobia or abuse of any kind. We are a diverse and inclusive club and we expect all children and adults to treat others with equal care and consideration. The safety of our children is paramount. We are a safe recruiter and all safety checks will be carried out prior to any offer of recruitment being made. Any offer of employment will be dependent on a clear DBS check being received.
Please note that we are looking to grow our club by providing holiday care. The applicant must be willing to undertake additional hours if needed outside of school term times.
