Post: Level SO1 After School Club Manager
19 hours spread across 5 days per week term time only

Working every day during term time 2.30pm- 6pm as part of the Whartons Primary School After School Club. The club caters for children on roll at school aged between 4-11years. The after school club is based within the school building and grounds and is run by a voluntary committee working closely with school senior leaders.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the day to day set up, management and organisation of the out of school care provision
  • Line manage a team of play workers, directing the work of staff and supervising their activities
  • Be a team player who is committed to the aims and ethos of our after school club
  • Be flexible and confident in supporting children’s wellbeing and learning in an extended school setting
  • Have a positive, consistent approach to behaviour management inside and outside of the setting
  • Have successful experience of supporting the learning and development of individuals or groups
  • Be able to lead and motivate a team to deliver high quality creative play opportunities
  • Have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum as appropriate
  • Create and maintain a calm, welcoming, ‘home from home’ environment
  • To liaise with the school where necessary with regard to the needs of the children who attend the out of school hours care provision
  • To liaise with parents and to encourage parental involvement and support for the out of school hours care provision 

Appropriate training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
