Out of School Alliance - Help and Support for Out of School Clubs

Data Protection Act

The Data Protection Act 1998 governs the use of personal information by businesses and other organisations. As an out of school club, you need to store personal details about staff and about the children attending the club, so you must comply with the principles of the Act. In addition, further data protection legislation under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is due to come into force in May 2018. For more information on the GDPR see our GDPR overview.
