Training Courses
Your out of school club must have suitably qualified staff—not only to meet statutory requirements but also to ensure that they deliver high quality care to the children. The Essential Qualifications page describes the minimum qualifications required to satisfy statutory requirements for the staffing of out of school clubs, including Ofsted inspections, and outlines how you can obtain the necessary training.
As well as the essential training, there is a wide range of additional training available to improve the skills of your team and to enrich the experience of the children in your care. See the Professional Development page for some suggestions.
You will probably find that much of the training you require can be obtained through your local authority, often at a heavily subsidised price. However there are many other independant training providers out there who may be able offer a wider range of courses or on more convenient dates than your local authority. Some of these are listed on the Training Providers page.
