Membership Manager (OOSA)

OOSA AD

We are looking for someone exceptional to work with us at Out of School Alliance

2023 has been an incredible growth year at OOSA with more on the horizon, but we need some help to bring even more value and support to our members in 2024 and beyond. 2024 is set to be a huge year for the wraparound childcare sector and OOSA too, and this is an outstanding opportunity to be at the forefront by joining our team.

Our new teammate will:

- provide support to our members, responding to email and telephone queries, giving advice, support and guidance.

This person must have extensive understanding of the regulatory and practice frameworks within which school aged childcare operates in England.

They will also have an outstanding commitment to high quality customer service and clear, effective communication skills

- support with researching and developing resources, tools, training and briefings to keep our members up to date.

They will therefore be able to research and collate information, be confident in pitching an idea and able to work on own initiative

- create content for the OOSA social media channels and contribute to other communication channels such as the OOSA newsletter and LA email briefings.

Again, they will have outstanding communication skills, be a creative thinker and they will have the ability to organise workload and prioritise efficiently

This isn’t an exhaustive list of ‘duties’ or particular experiences we think someone should have, but more how we see this role fitting in to the existing structure at OOSA, and the skills and competencies we think we would need.

This is the beginning of a conversation that we would like to have with people interested in working with us. We want to find someone who shares our values, is flexible and creative, innovative and enthusiastic, and most importantly views out of school childcare in a positive light.

We are looking for someone to start working with us from February 2024. This role is paid at £15 - £20 per hour with some flexibility for the right person to join the team. We anticipate the role will need approximately 20 hours a week commitment but there are times throughout the year that are quiet and others that are very, very busy.

The whole OOSA team work to this rhythm, we all chip in to get things done and we all support each other. We do therefore anticipate that the hours will be worked flexibly in response to workload.  This is a flexible, remote working position and is ideally suited to someone wanting to work around other commitments, most likely on a freelance basis but we are open to an employed role as well.

If this is an opportunity that gets you excited, we want to hear from you; about why you’re excited and why you believe you’ll be successful. You can do this is any way you want but if you want an initial conversation or have any questions, please get in touch to arrange a convenient time – rebekah@outofschoolalliance.co.uk
