Support for Out of School Clubs
The Out of School Alliance (OOSA) provides information and support to individuals and organisations setting up and running out of school clubs, including breakfast clubs, after school clubs, holiday clubs and playschemes. We have drawn on our own, first-hand experience of running an out of school club to provide a range of services all aimed at making your life easier.
Getting started:
Setting up a new out of school club from scratch can be very daunting especially when time is short. Which is why we have provided lots of help
in the Out of School Clubs section, covering essential issues such as finding funding, registering with Ofsted and getting all your staff CRB checked.
Policies, procedures, forms, contracts: All out of school clubs need to have these documents, but identifing
what is required and then creating your own can soak up a lot of your time. So we've put together a selection of
template documentation for out of school clubs for you.
Training and qualifications: What qualifications do you have? What qualifications do you and your staff need? Where can
you find appropriate courses? Find all the key information quickly and easily in our Training section.
Equipment and materials: Where can you source all the equipment that you need to set up
your club and keep it up to date? Our Suppliers Directory will help you to track down everything
you need.
Running your club: By becoming a member of OOSA you benefit from ongoing support with the running of your club. Members can
access our library of activity plans and factsheets, download sample documentation, read our in-depth articles on topics such as safeguarding and
data protection, receive a monthly
newsletter, enjoy a range of exclusive discounts and offers including discounted insurance,
as well as using our online forum and telephone helpline.
